Who we are
The Association for the Protection of Costa Paradiso, established in 1991 on the initiative of a group of participants from the Community of the Territory of Costa Paradiso, ha as a social purpose the defense and safeguarding of the natural environment of the territory e of the rights of owners of real estate units in Costa Paradiso.
The association it has a Statute, a President, who represents it externally, and a Board of Directors. Currently the members subscribe an annual membership fee, necessary to meet the ordinary operating expenses, which they pay into a bank account in the name of the association.
In the space of twenty years, ATCP has taken numerous initiatives, especially judicial ones, to challenge the assemblies not regularly constituted under the terms of the Regulations, or acts harmful to the interests of the participants adopted by the Board of Directors. There was no lack of complaints to the competent authorities for building interventions, damaging to the natural environment and the landscape, also through the Legal Intervention Group, an environmental association that operates throughout Sardinia, to which ATCP is affiliated.
The latest action taken by ATCP, which was also joined by 65 participants, is the appeal to the TAR of Sardinia, in November 2012, for the assessment and declaration of the obligation of the Municipality of Trinità d'Agultu, deriving from the conventions of urbanization signed by it, to take charge of the primary urbanization works of Costa Paradiso (road network, car parks, equipped public areas, water and sewerage networks). The appeal has not yet been decided, but its outcome will be important for the definitive structure of Costa Paradiso in terms of urban planning and for the allocation of expenses relating to the project of the new sewer system.
During 2013, ATCP made an important and decisive contribution to the renewal of the social bodies of the Community, also with the presence in them of its associates, giving space and representation to the participants-owners of the Community, without any economic activity in Costa Paradiso. In the new role, the objectives that ATCP wants to pursue are:
Give a definitive urban planning to the district, clarifying the institutional role of the Municipality for the management of the services that the law assign to it;
Give a juridical physiognomy to the Community, as a horizontal condominium;
Ensure efficient and economically transparent condominium management;
Protect the environment natural And, while, develop i services at the collectivity, suitable a improve the possibilities of stay and usability of the territory.
